Compare and contrast UAE high schools and UAE colleges

As we all know, education plays a huge part in our lives. Moreover, we must use it as a tool to improve ourselves and our country’s development. Nowadays, in the UAE there are many institutions where you can learn. In this essay, I am going to write about the similarities and differences between two of them, high schools and colleges.

There are three clear similarities between high school and college. The first similarity is that both institutions have exams. At the end of each semester, the teachers give you marks for the exams you have taken. The second similarity is that you can make friends in both places. Friends are important because they can help you with homework and all life’s problems. Yet another similarity is attendance. If students get more than 10%, the institution will kick him out.

Although there are some similarities between college and high school, there are also three major differences. The first difference is mobile phones. In high school you cannot your mobile whereas in college you can carry it everywhere with you. Another difference is students working with computers. In colleges all students must have their own laptops in contrast to schools where laptops are forbidden. Yet another difference is army training. In high school once a week, there is army training. However, in college there is no army training.

Studying at the college or high school is the same. Despite this, I would prefer studying in college. There are several reasons which make me choose the college, because in college we have more freedom and the communication with the teachers is better than in high school.

How to make orange juice

As we all know orange juice is the most familiar, juice which contains vitamin C. So I’m going to write a description of how to make orange juice in a safe way.

First, the fruit is unloaded from a truck. Then the fruit is graded and washed . After that it is put in a sizer machine. Next it is placed in an extractor machine which changes the fruit to juice. Then the wasted materal is given to feed animals. After that the juice is evaporated and concentrated. Then it is refrigerated. After that it is canned it and transported to other countries here we it is sold. Next is added water to the concentrate to gave it a nice flavor. Then it is bottled and sold.

In conclusion orange juice is all the same but some companies add their own flavor to give it a different taste from others.

Reflection 2

I found writing a narrative story is more difficult than the procedure essays because in narrative stories we imagine things and write about something that happened to us. We must use our imagination in all stories. There are some basic tenses we must use in all stories like past continuous, simple past and past perfect

Reflection 1

I found making procedure essays easy because they have same way of writting it but the subject is changed. Introduction, main paragraph, conclusion:all of this has a minimum of 150 words. Use the imperative: do this, do that, don't do this/that. Avoid the ing form as in the flow charts. You can't imagine any thing because everything is written in procedure essays.

The plane and the car

Yesterday I was returning home after a trip to Bangkok. After a delicious meal at the airport, I set off for my home since I saw keen to see my family again. As I was driving along a highway , I saw a plane getting closer to the road.

I started to drive faster, but the plane kept on getting nearer and nearer. After a second or two, I realized I was driving along an empty highway with the lanes on the other side completely full and stationary. Was I in a dream or what? Suddenly the plane’s front crashed on my car and made me go even faster. Finally I came to a stop and felt so relieved.

As I sat in my car in a state of complete shock, I began to wonder what may have caused the pilot to land the plane on the highway. A friend of mine who borrowed the car the day before may have put a sticker on the roof which said ‘’follow me’’. Or, more likely, a passenger may have had a heart attack and the pilot needed to land the plane quickly. I really had no idea how I got myself in to this situation.

Still not believing my eyes, I got out of the car and was pleased to know nobody was injured. The pilot gave me a cheeky smile. I was not a happy man.

Unknown Camping

A week ago, my friends and I were driving on a small road, and nobody else was around. When we were there we sang all the time. Suddenly I saw a car turned over on its side.

As we got closer to the car my friends told me to stop, so I stopped and looked around then I noticed that near the car was camping equipment and a burning campfire, but there were not any people.

After that, my friends and I were curious to know whose camp this is, but I told my friends that somebody may have left this camp maybe because his friends did not come. My friends told me why we do not wait to know whose camp this way, and we waited thirty minutes but nobody came. Then I told my friends to stay here and they agreed with me. I told them if we would stay here we had to have wood to cook. I brought wood and we ate our dinner, then we went to sleep.

In the morning we went back home.On the way back to our home, we were singing and dancing and we felt very happy.
